About Me
My path to becoming a psychotherapist
Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Chelsie Ostrega, and I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and a proud private practice owner at North Point Therapy.
My journey into therapy is a personal one. I lived with anxiety throughout much of my childhood and young adult life, and I know how debilitating it can feel without the right support. Through learning skills and strategies to navigate anxiety, I discovered just how life-changing the right tools, and the right therapist can be. This inspired me to help others facing similar struggles.
After treating anxiety and related disorders for several years, I became curious about OCD, a disorder which also involves difficulty managing unhelpful thoughts. I went on to train in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and saw firsthand how effective this treatment can be. I also realized how many people weren’t receiving the proper support. That motivated me to make ERP and other evidence-based therapies more accessible to people across Ontario.
In my practice, I draw on evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to create personalized, practical strategies. My goal is not only to help clients reduce anxiety and OCD symptoms, but also to support them in building confidence, resilience, and more meaningful lives.
Outside of my work, you can usually find me with a good book, exploring nature trails, or spending time with my dog, friends, and family.

Therapy Services
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is a personalized therapeutic approach that focuses on your unique experiences and challenges. In a safe and confidential environment, you'll work one-on-one with me to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This process helps you gain insight, develop coping strategies, and achieve personal growth.
Sliding Scale Option
Sliding scale in therapy refers to a flexible fee structure that adjusts the cost of sessions based on a client's income or financial situation. This approach makes therapy more accessible by allowing individuals to pay what they can afford, ensuring that financial constraints do not prevent them from receiving necessary mental health support.
